Ok Universe. I’m ready for deep healing. Bring it on!
That was a prayer I blurted out seven years ago without thinking about what I was saying. It’s also a prayer that I don’t recommend unless you’re ready for one heck of a ride.
At the same time I made this declaration to the Universe, I also decided I wanted to start my own business.
What my college marketing classes didn’t teach me is that my desire for inner healing and my desire to run my own business were inextricably linked. One fueled the other.
Almost immediately after launching my business, I saw my comfort zone slip away. I wanted to attract clients, and this required being seen and speaking up. And being seen and speaking up were like a dog whistle to my fear of being criticized. Not to mention there were also the voices screaming that I had to work hard and do it all myself.
These fears and insecurities were the perfect invitation to do the healing work that I said I wanted. So, I soaked up every opportunity for personal development work from past life regressions to reiki to coaching programs.
The gift was that my healing work pushed me to raise my consciousness and evolve as a human being. I began to soften the voices of doubt, speak out confidently and receive the abundance that had been waiting for me.
And what I quickly recognized is that something else had to change if I wanted to continue to move forward.
MY HOME.
Our homes are a mirror of ourselves.
Which means as we continue to evolve higher and higher in our consciousness, our homes need to evolve right alongside us. They need to reflect who we are today and who we are becoming, rather than being a static structure pulling down our high vibe energy.
For me, this meant that I outgrew my kitchen table as my workspace. When I stopped thinking I had to play small, I was able to claim the spare room and convert it into my office. I moved past the voice that told me my business might fail, so I shouldn’t create some fancy office.
And when I realized the gray walls of my office didn’t bring me joy, I gave myself permission to repaint. I moved past the voice that told me I had to settle for feeling mediocre.
And when I discovered a performance appraisal from my 1990’s corporate job that said I needed to work longer hours in order to get ahead, I burned it.
What about you?
Where have you moved forward in your life? And where does your home NOT reflect your soul’s evolution. Are there any changes you need to make, so your home is speaking the same language as your higher self?
Here are 3 steps you can take to get started:
- Affirm where in your life you’ve expanded, shifted your consciousness or dropped a self-limiting belief?
 - Identify any belongings or situations in your home that are connected to the old belief or way of thinking.
 - Offer gratitude to these belongings or situations for what they taught you.
 - Release the belongings or shift the situation to match your new, higher vibe belief.

Here’s to aligning your soul and your home, so you can go forward and experience the abundance that is your birthright.
