Often as you adventure through life you feel like you have hit a boundary, and sometimes your response will be “I can’t go any farther”. And yet there is another voice, from within or without urging  “just a little farther,” or “So much farther, don’t stop now you are not even close!” What is a Soul Traveler to do?

I am sorry to say it kids, but most journeys are going to require a little bit of discomfort: a small seat, an early departure, or complete existential questioning. This month’s  Pegasus card is reminding you that you are going beyond what were your previous limits. This journey can be magical, and it can be tiring.

There are some basic rules of travel;  Pack lightly if you want to travel with speed. If you are carrying more luggage, your trip may take a little longer.

Bring with you what you are going to need, and be willing to re-evaluate what continues with you on your trip. My daughter brought a beloved, but nearly worn- through-the-heel pair of boots to London with her, and threw them out while she was there because she found something else she wanted more to bring home in her limited suitcase space. Do that on this trip that is your life. Be willing to re-evaluate what once worked for you, and may no longer suit you as you find something new for its place; be willing to let go of the old thing.

Look how the rider is snuggled into Pegasus. This being is taking a little rest from the striving, and trusting the Pegasus- the adventure- to move them forward while they take a nap.  Moving ahead doesn’t always look like forward motion. Sometimes it looks like restoring your energy, for the next part of the trip. Just because you fall asleep on the train doesn’t mean that you stop traveling.  So learn to rest.  Trust that the train, or the Pegasus is still moving you forward.

Finally, this soul adventure has already begun, it began when you were born.  There is no delayed departure. There is a lot of trust involved in any form or travel and the trust in yourself is going to be the most valuable one. Trust that when you booked this trip you knew what you were doing, and while you didn’t understand each micro adventure of the trip itself -you certainly have the capacity to figure it out as it goes along. If plans change or smoothly flow, you have got this. If you have arrived at a boundary, understand that it was a limit from the past and now you are stronger, or know better and that you are ready to navigate past this previous limit and continue on. Partner up with your inner Pegasus – the immortality of your spirit- and know that together you and your spirit can reach places you never thought would be in your grasp! And go ahead, when you get there, take a selfie.
