When your soul wants to tell you a deep desire, you need the courage to listen to it and let yourself be guided.
My heart’s desire came true – a qualification with Denise Linn. I had already tried it once in 2000, but there was no free place at that time. 2004 was the year.
Years earlier, I had met a couple “by chance”, living in Los Angeles. I kept their phone number and email address like a treasure. I plucked up my courage and wrote to them asking if I could stay with them for a day or two before taking the bus to San Louis Obispo. They had been immediately thrilled to see me again and I was immensely grateful to have a first safe haven in Los Angeles.
The journey into the unknown starts in Frankfurt. Will I even recognize Eugene after such a long time? How will I experience the journey on the bus? Many questions – unlimited faith.
A man approached me in front of the airport exit in Los Angeles. I was looking into his eyes and we recognized each other. I instantaneously felt safe and happy. The next two days were filled with hospitality and wonderful places that I was shown. There was magic in the air, when they both offered to drive me and my backpack to San Louis Obispo, including a short visit to Santa Barbara.
From the very first moment when I entered Summerhill Ranch, I feel like I’ve arrived home. Grandma’s room, my retreat for the next few days, radiates warmth and security. A deep bond is immediately sensible and happens when the group is together. At the first evening I write in my Joy Journal,” it’s like finding myself in the other”.
One afternoon, Denise gives us the possibility to create our own spritualstick. While I am walking through the land, I suddenly find an old spiritualstick under the large oak tree. I am walking this path every day since I am here, he has never been there. It feels as if the tree has placed him right before my feet. At first I am unsure, but then I pick it and recreate him. As I take my spiritual stick back to the room in the evening, the air surrounded me warm and windless. When I reach the old oak tree, I get the deep need to shout “thank you so much“ and hold my new fellow up to the sky. Suddenly a strong wind comes up for a few seconds and wraps me and the stick.I hear the chant of the oakleaves singing a wonderful melody. Immediatly I know the old stick was once mine and has found me here again.
On my last evening in Los Angeles, I slept on the terrace and enjoyed the stars and repeating “thank you“ again and again to the source and all invisible supporters. It seemed that the stars had been glowing with an incredible radiance. I was filled with gratitude that I ventured into the unknown. Having grown from the challenges, my trust in the source was growing boundless.
My notes:
– Listen to your soul.
– Be present, even if an initial rejection unsettles you.
– Have the courage to embark on a journey.
– Trust that no matter what happens, you are protected and sheltered.
– Believe in miracles and enjoy them.
– Live with gratitude.
… and explore your vast vista.
