Do you look for miracles? Would you recognize a miracle if you saw one?  A miracle is a highly improbable to completely inexplicable occurrence. I include things that I understand but the odds of them happening when I am there to witness boggle my mind, and things that I am completely mystified with -in this category. I believe that our world abounds with miracles : How when I was walking outside to cool off during a fit of anger I noticed that a young fox was following along beside me just in the woods, being curious about who I was and what I was doing. It is the box turtle laying eggs in the yard on summer solstice and my husband putting a protective cage around them until they hatched on the equinox. Now maybe none of these things are inexplicable but they are improbable that they happened just when a person was there to see them and notice.

As I was starting my journey into the wonder of everyday life, I kept hearing that when Spirit sends you a message, it is so very impactful to you, but often others just can’t see the wonder- the Wow of it. That is how you know that it is your message, meaningful to you, and practically invisible to those around you. But these messages are what you need to fortify you as you continue your journey forward. I am enchanted by finding small flowers growing in difficult places. These improbable exhibitions of beauty and tenacity warm my heart and encourage me to grow and to bloom wherever I land.

I believe that looking for miracles is a deeply spiritual practice and it is worth the time it may take.  When you look for the miracles, you will find them. You will know them. They will be yours, and they will fortify you during difficult times.  The practice goes like this: Ask yourself what you are observing. How did that happen? What does that mean? And you will be having a conversation with awe. I encourage you to attune to the magic and this is a miracle. How did you grow your fingernails when you were so busy doing other things? How did someone’s name come to you just as they were sending you a text. Why is this happening? What can you take from it?

Some miracles are right in front of your eyes, the rainbow, the ten dollar bill in your pocket when you thought there was none, and some miracles are a little hidden. I do know that if you need to see one, Spirit will keep setting the message in front of you until you receive it. I also know that recognizing the small miracles make the BIG miracles more visible when they arrive.

I would love to invite you to hunt for miracles this month. To recognize them and take note of them, even if they don’t seem all that miraculous to anyone else. Beautiful things are in front of you, behind you and all around you. Enjoy them!
