Have you ever found yourself feeling swallowed by the constant buzz of the go, go, go mentality? The seemingly never-ending emails, phone calls, and ever-growing to-do list? This is often how life is in our modern world; however, finding balance is critical to remaining aligned with who you are and the person you are stepping into.
I recently had the opportunity to hit the reset button and spend time in the great outdoors to recalibrate and restore my soul. Waking up to the sounds of kookaburras joyfully singing their morning calls and the earthy scent of the rich red soil was how I spent my days on vacation with family. Followed closely by morning yoga stretches out in nature, watching as the sun shone its rays on the gum trees surrounding us—pure bliss from nature to gain clarity and insight and excite us for the day’s exploration ahead.
All of this with limited access to technology throughout the day being so remote in the Australian outback. These days, we are so intimately connected to technology that disconnecting is a challenge! However, when we spend time outside, surrounding ourselves with the connection to Mother Earth and her elements, we can tune inward to truly hear the call of our soul. The unplugging from the daily grind and the ability to reignite our connection with the divine brings us a sense of clarity, inner peace and the opportunity to expand our conscious awareness to what we seek in our lives.
Together as a family, we hiked and explored the ancient landscape, brimming with wildlife. We were in absolute awe of the mountain ranges and witnessed images within the rock formations, clouds above, and the vast horizon of open space around us. This land was hallowed ground, and we were deep in communion with spirit.
Where in your life are you feeling weighed down, suppressed, or challenged? These are often nudges that something needs to shift and change despite our ego’s resistance.
My time in nature helped me witness areas in my life where adjustments could be made to enhance the direction of my life.
If you closed your eyes and breathed deeply into what your heart and soul were calling you to be and do in this world, what inner words do you hear lovingly being spoken back to you?
How can you open yourself up even more to the expansiveness of the world around you?
Spending time in nature is one of the fastest ways to hear the messages from within.
I returned to city life with a renewed sense of the woman I am and the woman I longingly wish to step into.
The more we explored the expansive and ancient landscape and aboriginal heritage, the more secrets were revealed. This, in turn, helped open a gateway to hidden wisdom inside me, bursting with excitement to be rediscovered. This same expansive wisdom is available for you when you choose to immerse yourself in nature and surround yourself with the time and space to nurture the dreams you hold inside.
