This month we are celebrating the energy and message of doing things a new way, creating a new path, and that image of blazing a new trail. Living out on 88 acres, I can tell you that blazing a new trail, quite literally is hard work. And you can’t always see the big rocks, tree roots, and other blockages until you are upon them. It means your trail needs to shift. It can be hard to see how close you are to getting to your destination. Yet, you know, you will never get there if you stop.
It’s the same as when you are making a new path in life. It sounds exciting, but it can be scary, exhausting, and challenging to change up your routine. Or, it can really hard to have had a big life plan, and then something out of your control changes it, and you are left to create a new plan. Blaze a new trail. Create a new pathway. Perhaps to a completely different destination.
In this time of changing your life to follow a new path and find that amazing new opportunity; using feng shui in your home can ease the transition and support your new goals energetically.
First, lets make sure your home nurtures YOU, as this needs to be your sanctuary. Start by clearing any clutter from your bedroom. (Clutter is defined as anything you don’t love or use). Then, store everything there lovingly and in a way that honors its energy. Take the time to clean the space. Remove any imagery in your bedroom that doesn’t bring you total joy. And, then bring imagery, colors, textures and even lighting that creates a sanctuary feeling in this space. Ignite all your senses there and choose a lovely scent that feels peaceful and relaxing to you. For me this is a vanilla cinnamon, and for others it could be a lavender, or even a palo santo. As you forge new trails in life, this is your safe space to restore yourself. Doing this, creates a new pattern of energy around you, and even a template of what you deserve to be surrounded by. Don’t skip this step of nurturing YOU!
Next, think about how you want your life to feel. Using the energy of natural elements in your home can change the energy of what’s happening in your life. If you have been stagnant and stuck, include more water energy within your home to aid flow. If things have been moving too quickly, add some earth energy to your space to ground things. Use fire energy in your home if you want to call upon the power of transformation and joy in your life. Add metal energy if you feel you need to focus on the tasks at hand. And the energy of wood/plants will add in growth, health and optimism. You don’t have to make any of these permanent changes… these can be simply some pillows, photos or other decorative items that will shift the energy a certain wayfor what needed right now.
Finally, envision your goal. You might know your goal… or you might not have any idea of what this new path should be like or where it will lead. If you know your goal, place representation of it near the middle front of your home (In feng shui this is called the Career or Lifepath area). Let’s say your new path is about changing some habits that are bad for your health. Then symbolism of a healthy and vital YOU could be there (or images that inspire that feeling) If you don’t know where you are going… lets say your employer just released you, and you are not sure what you should do next… then focus on imagery of what brings you joy and abundance, and imagine that the trail you are blazing right now calls to you opportunities that have that energy around them.
Feng shui is not a once and done ‘decorating’ scheme… but a method to support your life at every step. I love working with people to navigate changes in their lives, the happy and the challenging. I also love training new feng shui practitioners so that they can help others with this as well.
I encourage you to intentionally change just 5 things about your home today that brings is more in alignment with the path your desire in life, and see what magically manifests! I would love to hear what happens for you! Great blessings on this new breakthrough in your life!
Smiles,
LuAnn
