Being offered the challenge of blending the oracle card of the month with dreaming, I thought of the ways I have traditionally used oracle cards in my work with dream circles and interpretation. As Denise has often suggested, I have found it useful to pull one or more cards for guidance when unfolding a dream and its potential messages.

Grace speaks to me as a state of being, of acceptance, and of knowing there are divine forces which can comfort me as a blanket or soft veil.  Its softness reminds us to be gentle with ourselves and others, and even in examining our dreams and nightmares.

I decided to use this opportunity to use a new technique and tucked the GRACE card under my pillow as I slept, first meditating on it and its message, asking for guidance through the night. When I awoke, the dream I recalled was of me being in a sort of guest welcoming building where hikers would stop to hear about the conditions of the trails that day and also report back at the end of their hikes.  I remembered hearing that there had been some fires in the distance, but that it would be safe for those to still hike, but with a bit of caution and awareness, not fear. And as each hiker returned safely, I felt grateful.

Writing down or sharing our dreams verbally helps us feel the imagery and emotions that emerge.   As I look back on this dream, I feel we are protected with the mist of Grace which is always available to us.

I welcome you to try this in the future, choosing an oracle card as your focus of dream incubation, and seeing where it may lead or guide you.  Many blessings, grace and gratitude to Denise and the Linn Academy community as we work with the energy of this new moon, our dreams and aspirations.
