Create Your 2025

This month, we celebrate the energy of creativity—how perfectly timely to craft the year of our dreams!

If you want 2025 to be a carbon copy of 2024, here’s some advice: don’t change a thing! But who wants to be stuck, stale, and stagnant? No one. You want to build on what’s awesome and reroute the aspects of life that have gone off track.

The Time Traveler card for Creativity is set in the Venetian Italian Renaissance timeframe—an era brimming with new inventions and innovative perspectives. It was a celebration of the arts in all forms. People invested their time and money in art, literature, music, dance, and even out-of-the-box inventions. Imagine channeling that Renaissance energy into your life. How could you reinvent things to be happier, more joyful, more beautiful, more playful, or even more efficient?

Here are some simple ideas for creating the year you desire:

Envision the Year with a Vision Seed Map! This is a technique we use in both Soul Coaching® and Interior Alignment® Feng Shui. Sometimes called a vision board, I encourage my feng shui clients to use poster board and magazine images to design a map of what they wish to manifest—and more importantly, how they want their life to feel. Start by holding the blank board, sitting quietly, and contemplating the year you want to experience. As you look through magazines, collect words, colors, and images that evoke the events and feelings you desire. Arrange the images on the board until it “feels” right, then glue or tape them down. Once completed, place the board somewhere visible. Take a moment each day to imagine stepping into that world. You’re planting the seeds of energy you wish to attract!

Change Things Up! If life feels stuck in a rut, this step is for you. As you pack away your holiday décor, take the opportunity to reorder your home—but do it differently! Resist the urge to put everything back exactly where it was. Even shifting items by an inch can disrupt stagnant patterns and invite new energy. Personally, I enjoy leaving spaces minimal and open after holiday decorations are removed. The open areas feel like an invitation for something fresh and exciting to take shape.

Be Intentional! In feng shui, our spaces serve as 3D vision boards for our lives. While making major changes might feel daunting, small intentional shifts can work wonders. Take a good look around your home. The décor you chose 20 years ago might have been perfect then, but does it still resonate? For instance, you might have decorated with a French theme back when visiting Paris was your dream. If you achieved that dream a decade ago, the Parisian elements might now feel outdated. Perhaps your current dream is becoming an energy healer. Swapping out “Paris” items for salt lamps, soft colors with teal accents, and candles can reflect your new vision. Even boxing up items that no longer fit your future can create space for your new aspirations.

Even if you’re unsure what you want to manifest in 2025, focus on the feelings you desire—love, peace, abundance, or whatever speaks to your heart. Have a delightful and happy New Year!
