Say it with me .. “I graciously accept the infinite love of the universe!” .. now how do you FEEL?
When I read these words out loud, they bring a sense that all is well in the world once more. However, there have been numerous moments in life lately where I’ve felt far from GRACE, graceFULL, or even wanted to choose to be gracious. In my truth, as the world seemed to grow busier, distractions became more common, and the external noise of chaos grew louder, it became even more crucial for me to embrace peaceful ease and grace.
As a result, I decided to embark on what I’m calling my “ELIMINATION diet” for life. It may seem peculiar, especially after nearly two years of isolation. Still, following a relationship breakup and a health challenge, every time I TUNED IN, the message was crystal clear. I was about to undergo another significant life transformation, necessitating a reSET in the way I had been living and a rePROGRAMMING of relationships. It was time for deep surrender, reflection, presence, and grace.
Having reformed from being an excessive giver, a constant rescuer, and often a self-made martyr of my own needs, it can still be a slippery slope to regress into past patterns, whether energetically, emotionally, or mentally. I find myself worrying about “things” that, in all truth, are beyond my purview or control. After two decades of deep self-work and an unwavering commitment to embodying the principles I teach, I’ve witnessed a significant improvement in these symptoms and stress-related behaviors. They have become less frequent occurrences.
Yet, even though I communicated clearly with everyone important in my life that this “TIME OUT” was solely for my well-being, during this much-needed break from the world, a few individuals texted, asking, “Have I done something wrong?” They were concerned that their actions might have triggered my withdrawal. This led to my mind being drawn into a state of concern for others. This situation serves as a poignant reminder that we must continue to make choices that align with our authentic, soulful needs. No matter our decisions or the clarity of our communication regarding those needs, people often construct their own narratives.
A significant aspect of my life transformation has been to grant myself the grace to accept my humanity. With this acceptance comes the understanding that the more stressed, overwhelmed, and preoccupied I become in my thoughts, the easier it becomes to veer off course and make choices and decisions that do not align with experiencing divine intuitive flow and grace. This encompasses the practice of speaking words of love and kindness to myself and recognizing the immense effort and miracles that permeate my life.
During this wondrous elimination diet, I chose to step out of my normal everyday life, except to serve clients and fulfill my prior commitments. I’ve indulged in a lot of solitude, tranquil evenings, baths, increased meditation, yoga, and Pilates routines, acupuncture, chiropractic, and time in nature. My intention was clear: to regenerate my energy and be more discerning about what and who I allow into my daily life. I’m happy to say that I now FEEL well, aligned, and truly myself once more.
In a world where life’s pace keeps accelerating, we often forget to pause and reflect on the direction we’re heading. We rarely ask ourselves if our daily choices align with the voice, truth, and purpose of our souls.
The faster life moves, the harder it can become to take time out to listen deeply and question the kindness, usefulness, and alignment of our choices with our greater happiness, health, and purpose. Yet, these questions hold significance in every aspect of our lives, from what we consume through media to the relationships we nurture and the thoughts and emotions we entertain.
This month’s theme is inviting us to embrace the blessings of our path and cherish where we are right now. Grace lies not only in the spaces between our actions but in the gentleness and understanding with which we navigate the world and ensuring we value our needs and place them as a top priority in our lives.
As we journey through these turbulent times, let us remember to embrace grace, not only in our moments of triumph but in the stillness between our thoughts. In those precious moments, we connect with the infinite love of the universe and find our true selves and voice of our truth and soul.
Grace, my dear friends, is the key to living a life that resonates with the wisdom of our souls and the purpose of our hearts.
Big love, K
