This month our topic is Purification, “It’s time to purify your life … consider a detox diet. When you take the time to purify yourself and your environment not only will you feel lighter and brighter but you will also become a Clear Channel for light.” As a Soul Coaching(R) Practitioner tuning into the element of Earth, our physical self, I tap into my background as a Naturopathic Dr to share information on detoxing your body. Cleansing our bodies is part of the purification process when we want to get in greater touch with our Soul.

There are so many chemicals and toxins in our foods, in the air we breathe and the water we drink. Having a daily practice to eliminate these toxins is a beneficial way to live so these toxins don’t build up and cause dis-ease. If we have allowed these substances to build up in our bodies, learning how to flush them out in a healthy manner can clear the way for you to also purge unhealthy emotional layers and get closer to your true self. This actually happened for me when my body was falling apart, and I turned to a Holistic Nutritionist for relief. She turned my whole family’s eating practices upside down by teaching me how to eat organic foods in a healthy balance and drink clean, filtered water instead of high sugary drinks.

Something happened – not only did my symptoms find relief and I felt better than ever, but I started to tune into my own Soul on a new level.

Shortly after my eating habits shifted, I had a spiritual awakening. My life was changed forever! A few years later when I started working with Denise Linn, first through reading her books and then when I went to her ranch in California for my Soul Coaching(R) Training, I realized what had happened to me. By clearing my body, I was shifting the landscape and allowed a pathway for my Soul to connect with me. I then realized that the more I incorporated a detoxing program to purify my body, the more I could tune into my Higher Self and hear the messages from my Soul.

Below are some ideas for incorporating into your life. Take what feels good to you and leave the rest.

Eating as many organic foods in your diet as possible is one way to slow the chemicals from entering your body in the first place.

Drinking clean, filtered water is another. We need plenty of water each day, a minimum of ½ your body weight (in pounds) in ounces of water, even more if flushing away toxins during a specific detox diet.

Eat plenty of leafy greens, a variety of colors of fruits and vegetables, and clean meats/protein sources.

Starting your day with a glass of lemon water helps to reset your body and provides an alkaline environment setting you up to cleanse when you eat or drink healthy vegetables or fruits.

Drinking green smoothies that include one or more of the following will help the body’s natural process for eliminating what doesn’t belong: spirulina, cilantro, kale (or other dark greens), blueberries. Or lemon water followed by straight celery juice which has been popularized by Anthony Williams, the Medical Medium.

It is important to keep your colon clear for other toxins to eliminate easily, so if that is an issue you may need to start with a colon cleanse.
