Lori Solensten brings her unique and varied life experiences, as well as her extensive study and training, to her one on one coaching practice, feng shui consultations, dreamwork, group workshops and women’s circles.

She was the first graduate of NYU’s “University without Walls”, designing her own curriculum. Never thinking she would work in the “business world”, she started her career in product development and marketing, and soon went on to establish her own corporation as a spiritual book and magazine publisher, manufacturer of botanical products, and also had a successful retail shop, spa and tea room.

During her more than 20 years in business, she continued her exploration of personal and spiritual growth and obtained her Masters degree in Counseling. Her work with dreams and oracle cards guided her journey.

In a series of events which she describes as a nudge from the universe, she felt a sudden call to pause and take a few months to deeply reflect on her life.  Her staff carried on the businesses while she went into a retreat of intense journaling and vision board work. She felt guided to take an enormous risk in her life and sold off divisions of her corporation over the next few years. She let it all go and traveled to China at age 47 to adopt her daughter and be a “mom.”

As her daughter grew, she was recruited as an adoption counselor and helped social workers and families around the country. She also assisted local individuals in starting their own businesses. Another pause occurred due to a serious family illness, and Lori emerged to work as a hospice counselor with patients and their families, and helping facilitate grief camps for children and caregivers.

Lori’s true passion is in assisting individuals who find themselves at a crossroads in life, and seeking more meaning and fulfillment through serving others.  She blends the disciplines of feng shui, dreamwork, vision boards, journaling and oracle work in her coaching, and has found that any single one of these practices can be the gateway into hearing your soul’s guidance.  She has a deep connection to the earth and seasonal cycles, leading women’s moon circles and guiding others in this process.  Lori works in person or by phone, and would love to hear from you.  She also owns a sweet little seasonal cottage on a private lake near Cooperstown, NY which is available by the week or month for private retreats.
